Customer usage and revenue tracking on your mobile site is done with Google Analytics.

gStores is a newly announced service from Unbound Commerce that uses the Google tools widely used by retailers to jumpstart and accelerate the development, operation and marketing of their mobile commerce site. The concept behind gStores is to create a hosted mobile commerce site easily and inexpensively.    What do I get with gStores Starter?

Retailers using gStores Starter will get a fully-functioning, mobile commerce site. By leveraging their Google Product Feed, the mobile site will have a full product catalog and provide mobile buyers with a streamlined purchase flow for mobile phones. Your mobile site is completely under your control, fully branded using your look & feel, with an administrative panel that lets you remotely access and control the look and feel of your mobile site.

   How does my mobile product catalog stay in sync?

Your mobile site is automatically synched with your Google Product Feed, using the update frequency you prefer.

   How do I get orders from gStores?

Merchants process their mobile orders in the Google Checkout Merchant Center. See this page for more information. Unbound provides custom integration options for order processing when the volume of mobile orders justifies this.

   How does gStores Starter compare to gStores Premium?

gStores Starter provides templates for an easy do-it-yourself site build and deployment and leverages Google Checkout for mobile checkout. With gStores Premium, Unbound delivers a fully-customized site design, build and deployment for you. The Premium solution also integrates into your current ecommerce shopping cart and checkout operations, so orders flow directly into your current checkout and order processing system.

    What are the benefits of having a mobile site?

Smartphone users coming to your “standard” website suffer through an unwieldy pinch & zoom experience. While they can navigate your site, the interaction typically leads to high bounce rates and low conversions.    What are the fees for gStores Starter? Does gStores take a percentage of my revenue?

Unbound does NOT take a percentage of your revenue. The one-time fee for gStoresStarteris only $1,200. After the site launches, monthly fees are only $125 for the first 50K pageviews. Again, there are no affiliate fees or revenue-sharing for gStores.

   How do mobile devices find my new mobile site?

Mobile visitors to your main site are automatically detected and redirected to your mobile site. There is no marketing required. All gStores deployments come with simple javascript code that is easily installed on your “main” e-commerce site to accomplish this.

   What do I need to do to get my mobile site implemented?

Retailers who already use Google services can get their mobile commerce site up & running in a few days. The implementation is easy, using the gStores step-by-step process:
  • 1. Set up m.yourdomain.com subdomain for mobile, through your hosting provider
  • 2. Activate Google Product Feed
  • 3. Activate Google Checkout
  • 4. Design your mobile site
  • 5. Activate your mobile site by implementing auto-redirect from your main site

    Do I need to know web design or coding?

No, we give you a simple remote access online dashboard for making deisgn changes to the site. This includes access to all sales metrics, for tracking ROI.

    How does Google Checkout work?

  • I don’t have GC. How do I get it? Sign up for Google Checkout here.
  • What are the fees? Merchants pay Google 1.9-2.9% +$0.30 per transaction + 1.9-2.9%, based on monthly sales volume. See the Fees page on Google.
  • Can I use coupons with Google Checkout? Yes. From Google Checkout Support. Create coupons from the Google Checkout Merchant Center. You can specify $-off discounts and %-off discounts, and add restrictions

    How do I track usage & results on my mobile site?

gStores Starter is integrated with Google Analytics, which you can use for any desired tracking and reporting.
