Apptive, the fast-growing Austin-based mobile app commerce platform, today announced the addition of Rick Timmins and Steve Semelsberger to its board of directors, expanding the board to five members. Mr. Timmins and Mr. Semelsberger join existing members Chris Belew (Co-founder & CEO), Jason Jaynes (Co-founder & CTO) and Bruce Barshop of Barshop Ventures.

Rick Timmins is currently Chairman of Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN) and an active Austin area angel investor. Mr. Timmins brings a combined 33 years of experience in the tech sector to the Apptive board, having previously served as VP of Finance at Cisco Systems and VP of Finance at Motorola. He has been an active investor as part of CTAN and as a partner at VC firm G51 Capital for over 5 years.
Steve Semelsberger is a seasoned startup executive, investor and advisor. As the founder of Alder Growth Partners, he helps technology businesses of all sizes get bigger. Prior roles for Mr. Semelsberger include SVP & GM, Social Products for Demand Media and VP, Global Sales for Pluck.
